Kick-off building new warehouse De Producent
– November 13, 2017. Thursday, September 14th we reached a key milestone: we celebrated the fact that the first pile for the new warehouse was driven into the ground. The dull weather did not diminish the festive spirit. Everyone had been looking forward to this for months. De Producent expects to move to the new building in Gouwe Park, Moordrecht, the Netherlands in mid-2018. With this move, De Producent is expanding its capacity to over 2.6 million kg of cheese. The construction of the warehouse is being supervised by the architect “RDG Ontwerp en Advies” located in Bodegraven, the Netherlands.
The new building offers De Producent many opportunities. The larger capacity enables De Producent to keep pace with the rising demand for Raw Milk Dutch Farmhouse Cheese. In addition, the building will be fully designed and equipped according to the latest standards for quality, food safety and sustainability. Furthermore, the access route for trucks is much better than the one on Kattensingel in Gouda’s city center. The new building has direct connections to the A20 and A12 highways.
Today, two months later, the site has undergone many changes. The outlines of the new warehouse are already clearly visible. Weather permitting, work on the interior can be started in January.
